Keeping default password on your devices

When you purchase a network device, you wish it could work out of the box. No tweeking, no custom parameters - just plug in it and use it. This is now the case with most of the hardware, however it has a small cost. Anyone can access your hardware parameters using simple password list from the net. The list includes passwords for many popular routers and network units which could be used both for harmful and useful purposes.

Thus sometimes it is better to tweek your hardware unit and change password to access it. Or be aware that someone else could control your access.
