I got ripped off too, now trying to get charge off credit card! Guess trying to find phone # of Pandora is futile
Microsoft was a big help – they took over control of my computer and got the software off, just need to find a new and reliable anti-virus now

We just fell victim to the Antivirus 2009. Does the Malwarebytes walk a computer “dummy” through the process pretty easily. I am so scared and nervous. Thanks in advance!

Well, Spyhunter is not too bad product, but overpriced at the moment and does not catch all the Trojans used to distribute these parasites. I would suggest Spyware Doctor or/and Malwarebytes AntiMalware. The later has fully functional free remover, though paid version has additional features worth trying.

I have purchased two products to try and rid myself of this antivirus 2009 and this spyguard 2008. I have been able to get rid of the antivirus 2009 by using XoftspySE. I purchased Spyhunter, which claims it will kill the spyguard software. It does remove it. However as soon as I reboot the computer it reinstalls itself and I am back to square one. How do I get rid of this annoying bug?

Jim: Spybot is kinda outdated. Its definitions are late by 20 -40 days compared to other spyware removers. Sure, it works in case of older spywares like Spymaxx is now.

I also was hijacked by Antivirus 2009, supposedly by Pandora. I have a free program called Spybot Search and Destroy. It identified the problems and removed them. You might try it, it can’t hurt.

Yeah, I got uncomfortable because WE DO NOT MAKE THIS SOFTWARE!!! This is a virus that you have on your computer that happens to use part of our name – but WE DO NOT MAKE THIS SOFTWARE. PANDORA CORP. makes 2 pieces of software: PC PANDORA monitoring software (www.pcpandora.com) which is parental control software and PANDORA RECOVERY which is a free data recovery tool (www.pandorarecovery.com). You have been infected with crap software from “PANDORA SOFTWARE”. We do NOT make any software that deals with antivirus. If we were really running a scam, do you think we would allow ANY of our information on the web in any capacity? Think about it. Thanks to Mike, I need to change my number now.

I fell for Pandora Software latest scam – anti virus XP2000 – it looks good and promises a lot just to get your cash. Bit its just a load of trash. Now my computer is really screwed up.

You would think this was good software but somehow it invaded my computer and they refuse to assist me at all. I went to their tech support and they denied is was their software but plainly in the liscense agreement I need to click to complete the installation, it has their Corporate name and software name in it. It has taken over control of my machine. It installed a new background demanding the installation. It has even gone inside my settings and removed tabs in the display settings so I cannot get my basic background back.. Then in a short time, it crashes because I have not completed the installation. They refused to allow me to talk to a supervisor or give me a phone number. I did find an address which is probably a trailer and not an office even. I asked for a 411 information on their comppany and they do not even have a phone in Las Vegas. They are phonies

Hello by the fact I bought the software call Spymaxx I had no chance at all my computer screaming like hell so the only proposition was to bye this sheet(I did flush this from my computer because infest by them to buy their only solution Spymaxx.I send e-mail to get my money back but no answer from them.Just to give you exemple of spyware I found in my PC in windows a bug name FLEOK that I remove etc my pc is already pure I use Netcom3 evaluation and beleive he is doing is job.Sorry if mistakes because I am a frenc-man and sometimes difficulty with the right words Bye Normand
