XP Protection Center is a new rogue anti-spyware program – a fake spyware remover, which tries to trick the user into purchasing it’s “licensed version” by intimidating him. This parasite typically enters the system in two ways: by using the Zlob trojan, or by manual download and installation from it’s website.

XP Protection Center will flood the user with popups and fake system notifications, supposedly to inform him that his system is infected. This is almost invariably untrue, and even if it were, XP Protection Center has neither the ability to detect nor remove these threats.

The home of this parasite, xp-protection.com (along with others), is no different that belonging to any other rogue: there is no useful content whatsoever, aside from the occasional attempt to scare users of the maliciousness of spyware, there is no legitimate payment system and no trustable contact details.

XP Protection Center is an utter scam and should not be trusted under any circumstances. Do not buy this fake tool.
